Community Involvement

From the beginning, it is our community around us that embraced My Brother’s Salsa and has helped us to grow.  So it comes naturally for our family business to look for ways to help our community.

As a small business, we are limited in resources, but we have big hearts and a big vision and we’re continually looking for ways to make a difference.  Here are just a few:

Northwest Arkansas Food Bank

Did you know that 1 in 6 Americans face hunger needs? We partner with the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank  by supporting their efforts in feeding the hungry – we give not only financial support, but product support.  They are a member of Feed America and work tirelessly in making a difference.

Susan G. Komen Foundation

Another area is our support of the Komen Ozark Affiliate.  We have sponsored our area’s Race for the Cure for several years, and also have provided many volunteer hours toward their mission of eradicating breast cancer.

University of Arkansas’ Hogs to Heroes

Hogs to Heroes sends care packages to our troops overseas and we have shared products with them to help “fill” some fun care packages and  give our soldiers a “taste of home.”

James 2:16 We wish you well, be warm and well fed.

Open my eyes that they may see the deepest needs of people;
  Move my hands that they may feed the hungry;
  Touch my heart that it may bring warmth to the despairing;
Teach me the generosity that welcomes strangers;
Let me share my possessions to clothe the naked;
  Give me the care that strengthens the sick;
  Make me share in the quest to set the prisoner free.
In sharing our anxieties and our love, our poverty and our prosperity,
we partake of your divine presence.
