Oven Tacos

Inspiration for these oven tacos came from a busy Mom for family taco night.  Using our Black Bean & Corn Salsa makes it one step easier because all the "add ons" come in one delicious jar!

12 taco shells

1 lb. ground beef

1 Tbsp. olive oil

2 Tbsp. water

Taco Seasoning (see below)

8 oz. cheddar or pepper jack cheese, shredded

1 jar My Brother’s Black Bean & Corn Salsa or Chimayo Black Bean

sour cream

fresh cilantro or fresh scallions

Taco Seasoning

1 Tbsp. Chile Powder

½ Tbsp. Cumin Powder

1 Tsp. sea salt

½ Tsp. granulated garlic

Mix taco seasoning ingredients in small bowl.  Store in airtight container until ready to use.  

Tacos: In skillet brown beef in 1 Tbsp. olive oil.  Add remaining ingredients and stir to mix well.  Let simmer for about 2 minutes.  Remove fom heat.

Arrange taco shells in baking dish so they are upright.  Divide taco meat into the shells.  Top each with shredded cheese then My Brother’s Salsa.

Place in a 350* oven for aprox. 10 minutes.  Garnish with scallions or fresh cilantro and serve with sour cream.
