Braised Pork Verde

So tender, so flavorful, so many uses. Tacos, sandwiches, sliders, nachos, enchiladas,soups, the list is endless…and so many ways to dress it up...pickled cabbage, cole slaw, sour cream, cheese, onions,chiles...so many ways to make this dish your own!

1 tablespoons canola oil

2 ½ lbs. pork shoulder (preferably bone in)

3 cups chicken stock

2 teaspoons kosher salt

1 sweet onion, peeled and quartered

1 cup My Brother’s Poblano Pineapple Verde Salsa or Farm Stand

In dutch oven, sear pork shoulder in hot oil, browning on all sides.  Add chicken stock, salt, onion to dutch oven. Pour My Brother’s Salsa over the top of the seared pork.  Cover and place in 325* oven for 2 ½ - 3 hours or until pork separates from the bone and shreds easily.
